CO JE VERMOX?

VERMOX je antihelmintikum, přípravek působící proti střevním cizopasníkům.
VERMOX je určen k léčbě napadení jedním nebo několika ze jmenovaných cizopasníků:

  • roup dětský (Enterobius vermicularis);
  • tenkohlavec bičíkový (Trichuris trichiura);
  • škrkavka dětská (Ascaris lumbricoides);
  • měchovci (Ancylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus);
  • hádě střevní (Strongyloides stercoralis);
  • tasemnice (Taenia spp.).

KDY NESMÍTE UŽÍVAT VERMOX?

VERMOX nesmíte užívat v případě přecitlivělosti ke kterékoli složce přípravku.

JAKÁ ZVLÁŠTNÍ OPATŘENÍ BUDETE MUSET DODRŽOVAT?

Děti
O léčbě dětí rozhoduje vždy pouze lékař. Vzhledem k lékové formě přípravek není určen pro děti mladší 3 let. Pro mladší děti použijte perorální suspenzi.

Těhotenství
Pokud jste těhotná nebo plánujete těhotenství, informujte svého lékaře, který rozhodne, zda můžete užívat VERMOX.

Kojení
Pokud kojíte, informujte předem svého lékaře, který rozhodne, zda můžete užívat VERMOX.

Řízení motorových vozidel a obsluha strojů
VERMOX neovlivňuje pozornost a nezpůsobuje obtíže při řízení vozidel nebo obsluze strojů.

Vzájemné působení s dalšími léčivými přípravky
Informujte svého lékaře, pokud užíváte léky obsahující cimetidin (léčivo proti překyselení žaludku). V tomto případě je možné, že bude zapotřebí přizpůsobit dávkování přípravku VERMOX. Měl byste se vyvarovat užívání přípravku VERMOX spolu s přípravky obsahujícími metronidazol (léčivo určené proti infekcím způsobených bakteriemi a prvoky).
Prosím, informujte svého lékaře o všech lécích, které užíváte nebo jste užíval/a v nedávné době, a to i o lécích, které jsou dostupné bez lékařského předpisu.

JAK UŽÍVAT VERMOX A V JAKÝCH DÁVKÁCH?

VERMOX tablety je k dispozici v lékové formě tablet k perorálnímu podání. Tablety je zapotřebí zapíjet. Užívání přípravku VERMOX s jídlem, zvláštní dieta ani užití projímadel nejsou nutné.

Přesné dávkování přípravku VERMOX se řídí druhem cizopasníka a je vždy určeno lékařem.
V případě pochybností se poraďte s lékařem nebo lékárníkem.

Obvyklé dávkovací schéma

Napadení roupy:
Užijete jednu tabletu jednorázově.
K úplnému potlačení infekce užijete po 2 a 4 týdnech opět jednu tabletu.
Je to nutné k úplnému zbavení se cizopasníka. První dávka ničí cizopasníky, avšak nikoli jejich zárodky, které mohou působit další napadení.

Napadení tenkohlavcem bičíkovým, škrkavkami, měchovci nebo několika různými cizopasníky:
Užijete jednu tabletu ráno a jednu tabletu večer tři po sobě jdoucí dny.

Napadení háďaty nebo tasemnicemi:
Dospělí: Dvě tablety ráno a dvě tablety večer tři po sobě jdoucí dny.
Děti: Jedna tableta ráno a jedna tableta večer tři po sobě jdoucí dny.

NEŽÁDOUCÍ ÚČINKY

VERMOX je dobře snášen a při obvyklém dávkování se vyskytuje málo nežádoucích účinků. Někdy se však mohou dostavit tyto nežádoucí účinky:
Přechodné bolesti žaludku a průjem, zejména při závažném napadení cizopasníky. V tomto případě můžete pokračovat v užívání přípravku VERMOX jako obvykle.
Přecitlivělost k přípravku VERMOX je velmi vzácná. K příznakům, které můžete rozpoznat, patří kožní vyrážka, svědění, dušnost a/nebo otok v obličeji. Pokud zpozorujete některý z těchto příznaků, ukončete užívání přípravku a navštivte lékaře.

Velmi vzácně mohou nastat kožní obtíže jako např. kožní vyrážky, puchýřky na kůži nebo boláky v ústech, očích nebo oblasti konečníku a pohlavních orgánů, doprovázené horečkou. Pokud zpozorujete některý z těchto příznaků, ukončete užívání přípravku a poraďte se neprodleně s lékařem.
Při dlouhodobém užívání přípravku VERMOX v dávkách podstatně vyšších než doporučených (mnohem vyšších než je obvykle předepisováno) mohou velmi vzácně nastat krevní, jaterní a ledvinové obtíže.
U kojenců se velmi vzácně mohou objevit křeče.

Pokud zpozorujete nějaké další nežádoucí účinky, poraďte se s lékařem nebo lékárníkem.

PŘEDÁVKOVÁNÍ

V případě požití většího množství tablet přípravku VERMOX se mohou dostavit žaludeční křeče, nevolnost, zvracení a průjem. V tomto případě se pro jistotu poraďte s lékařem. Lékař Vám může doporučit užít aktivní uhlí, které na sebe naváže léčivou látku obsaženou v přípravku VERMOX, která je dosud přítomna v žaludku.

Informace pro lékaře v případě předávkování

  • Specifické antidotum není k dispozici.
  • V případě potřeby lze podat aktivní uhlí.
  • Během první hodiny po požití je možné provést laváž žaludku.

JAK VERMOX UCHOVÁVAT

Uchovávejte při teplotě 15 až 25 °C.
Tento léčivý přípravek je možné používat pouze omezenou dobu. Nepoužívejte po uplynutí doby použitelnosti vyznačené na obalu.
Uchovávejte mimo dosah a dohled dětí.
Nepoužitelné léčivo vraťte do lékárny.

CO VERMOX OBSAHUJE?

VERMOX je lék proti střevním cizopasníkům.
Léčivou látkou je mebendazolum (mebendazol).
Tablety jsou slabě oranžové barvy, kulaté, ploché, se skosenými hranami, s nápisem Me/100 na jedné straně a JANSSEN na druhé straně.
Jedna tableta obsahuje 100 miligramů mebendazolu (na tabletě je vyznačeno Me/100).
Pomocné látky: mikrokrystalická celulosa, sodná sůl karboxymethyl­škrobu, mastek, kukuřičný škrob, dihydrát sodné soli sacharinu, magnesium-stearát, hydrogenovaný rostlinný olej, pomerančové aroma, koloidní bezvodý oxid křemičitý, natrium-lauryl-sulfát, oranžová žluť.
